It's yet to be confirmed by Mammoth Screen but it seems actor Will Merrick has joined the cast of Poldark series three as Arthur Solway. Arthur is a librarian and plays an important part in Morwenna's story.

Will's early credits include E4's Skins where, as Aloysius Creevey, he appeared alongside fellow Poldark actor Alexander Arnold (Jim Carter). He's also appeared in Dr Who, Atlantis, About Time and Brief Encounters. Will recently played snooker player Steve Davis rather brilliantly in the BBC's excellent The Rack Pack.

Poldark Series 3, Freddie Watkins

Another Poldark S3 rumour that we're delighted to hear is that Freddie Watkins has joined the cast, although we don't know his role. At Poldarked we love our connections so hope this rumour is true as Freddie is the son of Jason Watkins who, of course, starred in Being Human alongside Aidan Turner. Freddie's credits include DCI Banks, The Five and Holby City.
