'Poldark' Series Four gets the Go-ahead

Aidan Turner, Eleanor Tomlinson, Poldark, Series Four

Poldark series three won't air in the UK until June but series four has already been greenlit by the BBC.  Aidan Turner hinted as much in his radio interview with Dave Fanning and the news was then confirmed, first at the BFI and Radio Times Festival and then later, in a tweet by Official Poldark.

Debbie Horsfield has already written the scripts for four episodes of the new series and is currently working on number five.

Like series one, S4 will have eight episodes and will cover the remaining half of Winston Graham's novel The Four Swans and all of The Angry Tide. The upcoming third series covers The Black Moon and half of The Four Swans in nine episodes.

Filming for S4 will start in September 2017 but first we've Poldark S3 to enjoy this summer!
