Poldark series three got off to a good start last week (11 June) with 5.5 million (a 24% share) watching the season premiere, just surpassing the numbers for the first episode of series two (5.1 m, 23% share) according to
OvernightsTV. The seven day consolidated figure from
Barb (which does not include iplayer) ranked
Poldark S3 episode 1 as BBC One's third most popular programme last week with an audience of 6.7 million, the same number as watched the premiere of series two.
Eastenders ranked number one and two.
